Incredible Faith Mission:
Providence

Volunteers Lifting Construction Frame

Who can participate?

Incredible Faith Mission: Providence is open to youth and intergenerational groups ages 14+.

Why volunteer?

People of every tradition and background hear the call to serve others and work for justice - Incredible Faith Mission: Providence is built around that call. Mission work allows us to put our beliefs into action, and helps people of all ages deepen their faith while living it. Incredible Faith Mission: Providence will be a time spent living in an intentional community of love and service. You will leave the week feeling transformed with new understandings of urban poverty.

What is it?

Incredible Faith Mission: Providence is customizable to groups of folks eager to experience a week of mission work in Providence.  Participants will stay at the comfortable and accommodating Seekonk Congregational Church where you will eat and sleep but also get to reflect, play and enjoy time with one another. We will commute daily to cites around Providence to do service projects focused on addressing urban poverty. Throughout Providence, groups will work with partner organizations to serve meals, sort donations and help at homeless shelters. There will also be time put aside to allow for some cultural immersion and fun time, where you can truly enjoy and appreciate Providence. Equally important, we will have discussions where we learn how history has shaped urban poverty in cities. Participants get the chance to both see and learn what poverty in Providence looks like today and what can be done to help.

What dates can we book with you?

  • Weekend Retreats - groups can plan to arrive Friday evening and depart when necessary the following Sunday/Monday.

  • Week-long Programs - We can build a week off your groups schedule and availability.

  • Special Offerings - Keep your eyes peeled for seasonal IFM: Providence programs where you can join together with other groups from New England!
